On Monday, Big K.R.I.T. released his latest free album 4 Eva N A Day. I've only listened to it all the way through once so I'm reserving judgment until after I hear it a few times.
One thing I did observe from the initial listen was the introspective tone on most of the songs. Unlike his previous projects, where he included songs like "Gumpshun" or "My Sub," 4 Eva N A Day didn't really include the upbeat, pace changing track. I'll listen a few more times and see if that observation holds up.
"Down & Out" is the 11th track on the album and a "song for the have-nots," as K.R.I.T. describes it.
The song contains a sample of Lonnie Liston's Smith "Bridge Through Time."
